Summer Reading
June 26 - July 31, 2025
LEVEL UP AT YOUR LIBRARY
Join this 6-week program full of fun activities such as reading sessions, crafting, playing and more. Registration for adults and children begins June 11. Come into the library for your “getting started” goodie bag. Programs/events will be held every Thursday.
- Story times at 10:30am--June 26, July 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31.
- June 26. Wire wrapped starfish ornament at 6:00pm--(ages 10 to adult).
- July 3. Drum circle/musical program featuring Steve Blunt and Marty Kelly at 6:00pm--(ALL ages).
- July 10. Board Game Café at 6:00pm--(ages 10 to adult).
- July 17. Escape Room at 6:00pm--(ages 10 to adult, team registration required).
- July 24. 6:00pm event TBA.
- July 31. End-of-summer-reading celebration at 6:00pm--(ALL ages).
- Building, crafting, creating, playing, and more events TBA!
Earn raffle tickets* for prizes drawn at the end-of-summer reading celebration. Call (603) 394-7319 for more details.
*There are several ways to earn a raffle ticket:
1. Read for a minimum of TEN hours by July 31. (Don’t forget to submit a reading log at the library!)
2. Attend a summer program at the library.
3. Complete 5-in-a-row on the BINGO card.
Library Group Events
Several library groups meet at the library regularly and are open to the public:
South Hampton Library Book Club
The Book Club meets every six weeks to discuss ideas on books of
varied topics. Membership is free and all are welcome. Contact the library to learn more about the current book assignment and how to join in.
Genealogy Group
A group of like-minded individuals interested in their family history and tracking their lineages. Whether you are just starting to reserach your family tree or have been researching for years, there is something for everyone. We meet regularly on the 3rd Saturday of the month at 10.30pm and work together to help each other along the way. South Hampton Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library is a nonprofit group, independent from the library administration, that supports and promotes the South Hampton Public Library through a variety of community events and fundraising activities. The organization was officially founded in Januray 1962, and has been a trusted, impactful partner of the library since. The Friends of the Library meet on the second Thursday of each month at 7pm.
